The School Project

Understand, discuss and apply

Law in Action

This school project is designed to bring legal knowledge directly into our classroom in a way that’s engaging, practical, and relevant to our daily lives. Over the course of several sessions, we will explore key legal concepts, real-life scenarios, and the rights we all share as students. The goal is to make the law less intimidating and more approachable, so you can confidently navigate situations where your rights matter.

The project will consist of five interactive lessons, each lasting between 30 and 40 minutes. These sessions are not about memorizing laws but about discussing, questioning, and applying them to everyday situations. Whether it’s understanding your rights at school, in public spaces, or online, these lessons will give you the tools to recognize when something’s not right—and how to respond.

Legal Awareness

Gain a clear understanding of fundamental rights and responsibilities as a student. We’ll focus on real examples and practical situations so you can spot and assert your rights when needed.

Critical Thinking

Develop the ability to question, analyze, and discuss legal scenarios. This will help you evaluate information, recognize unfair situations, and think through possible solutions.

Practical Application

Learn how to apply your knowledge in real life—whether it’s speaking up, reporting an issue, or helping a friend understand their rights.

1st lesson - Understanding Rules and Why They Exist

Rules shape the way we live, helping to keep people safe and ensuring communities function smoothly. In this lesson, students will explore the reasons behind rules and laws, the difference between them, and the consequences of ignoring them. We’ll connect these concepts to situations from school and everyday life, so that the subject feels practical and familiar.

2nd lesson - How Decisions Are Made: From Idea to Law

Behind every law is a process that involves people, debate, and sometimes compromise. This lesson takes you through each stage of creating a new law—from the first idea to its approval and enforcement—while showing how public opinion and civic action can influence the outcome. Students will also learn that they, too, have a role in shaping the rules that affect them.

3rd lesson - Conflict and Resolution

Conflicts are part of daily life, but how we handle them can make all the difference. In this lesson, students will examine common sources of disputes and explore peaceful, respectful ways to resolve them—whether through personal conversation, mediation, or formal channels. The focus will be on finding solutions that protect relationships and prevent problems from escalating.

4th lesson - Protecting Yourself Online

In a digital world, your online presence is part of your identity. This lesson explores how to stay safe, protect personal information, and understand your rights and responsibilities in the online space. Students will also learn about the consequences of certain online behaviors and how to respond to unsafe or illegal activity.

5th lesson - Speaking Up: Your Voice in the Community

Your voice matters, and using it well can inspire change. In this lesson, students will learn how to express their views in ways that are respectful, constructive, and effective. We will look at real examples of young people making an impact and discuss the importance of balancing personal rights with the rights of others.

Any student in our school can participate, regardless of previous knowledge of law. The sessions are designed to be beginner-friendly.

No preparation is needed—just bring your curiosity and willingness to discuss ideas. Any materials will be provided during the sessions.
